BBQ Beans

Ingredients

  • 2 - 14 oz. cans pinto beans, do not rinse
  • 2 slices bacon, diced
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 fresh jalapeno pepper, diced (remove seeds for less heat)
  • 1 small green bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1 small red bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1 tbsp coarse ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp your favorite bbq sauce

Instructions

Brown the bacon in large pot or Dutch oven.

Add the onion, peppers and seasonings.

Cook over medium heat until vegetables are soft.

Stir in the beans and bbq sauce.

Reduce heat and cook low and slow for about 20 minutes stirring occasionally.
