Dove Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • 18 dove breasts, skin removed
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp rosemary
  • 1/2 cup white cooking wine
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 can (8-oz) mushroom pieces
  • 1 cup (8-oz) sour cream
  • 3 Tbsp butter or margarine

Instructions

Place dove breasts in large baking dish.

Saute onions in butter. Mix remaining ingredients, except sour cream. Pour over doves.

Cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour.

Add sour cream and stir. Continue baking uncovered for 20 additional minutes.

Serve over rice or noodles.
