Hearty Venison Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • 1 (4lb) venison roast
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 can whole tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp worchestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp prepared mustard
  • 1/4 tsp paprika

Instructions

Rub flour into meat, brown well on all sides in a dutch oven.

Add tomatoes, onions, water, garlic, garlic salt and pepper. Cover, simmer for 2 hours.

Combine remaining ingredients, pour over meat, cover and simmer until tender, 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
