Deluxe Deer Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2lb's ground venison
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 15 - 20 crackers, crumbled
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 tsp chopped parsley
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • hamburger buns

Instructions

In large mixing bowl, combine venison, egg, crackers, onion, garlic, thyme, lemon juice, butter and parsley. Add more crackers to mixture if needed.

Shape mixture into 1/2 inch-thick patties.

Brown in oil turning when half done.

While burgers are cooking, butter the buns and toast butter side down in a skillet over low heat.

Enjoy with your favorite side dishes.
