Cream Cheese Marble Brownies
Thanks to Sara Perkins for sharing this recipe.

~ 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
~ 3/4 cup butter
~ 2 1/2 cups sugar, divided
~ 5 eggs, divided
~ 1 1/4 cups flour, divided
~ 1 tsp vanilla
~ 1 tsp baking powder
~ 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
~ 1/4 cup chopped pecans, optional

Place the chocolate and butter in a large glass bowl. Microwave on high, checking and stirring often until the butter and chocolate are melted.

Add 2 cups sugar and beat until blended.

Add the vanilla and 2 eggs. Beat until blended then add 2 more eggs. Beat until blended.

Add 1 cup flour and the baking powder. Beat until well blended and smooth.

Pour the batter into a greased 9”x13” baking pan.

Clean the bowl if desired then add the cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 egg and 1/4 cup flour. Beat until well blended.

Spoon cheese mixture onto the batter. Take a knife and swirl the mixture into the batter creating a marble effect. Sprinkle on the pecans if desired.

Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with chocolate crumbs on it. Be careful not to over bake!

Let cool before slicing into squares and enjoying!
