Black Bear Italiano

~ 1 1/2 lb's bear meat, cut into 1" cubes
~ 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
~ 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
~ 2 tbsp butter
~ 1 - 14oz can stewed tomatoes
~ 1 - 8oz can tomato sauce
~ 1 medium white onion, chopped
~ 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
~ 2 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
~ 1 tsp basil
~ 1/4 tsp black pepper
~ 1/2 tsp oregano
~ 2 bay leaves
~ 3 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
~ cooked spaghetti

In a large pan or dutch oven, saute the mushrooms and bell pepper in the butter. Remove and set aside.

Add the meat and cook in the drippings until browned.

Add the mushrooms and pepper back to the pan. Add the rest of the ingredients except the spaghetti. Stir together.

Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat.

Simmer 2 1/2 - 3 hours adding water as necessary.

Serve over the cooked spaghetti.
