First squirrel hunt with my daughter yesterday, and came home with one. She was real excited to eat it. We soaked it in salt water for about an hour and then cooked it like I cook fried chicken. Marinated in bmilk and deep fried with seasoned flour. The meat was so tough we couldn't hardly bite it off the bone. Is there something that I did/didn't do or just a tough squirrel. She was really disappointed, so I want to do better with the next one. Hopefully today

if the squirrel is an old boar the best way to cook them is in the crock pot, that way they are not tough. I only fry the young stuff.
